What's the best Stephen King book to read?

Insomnia is a decent one, careful though it will keep you awake.

I would say that the Dream Catcher was a very enlightening read.

His non-fictional work "Dance Macabre",.. tells you a little about the Man himself and his mentality

The Dark Tower Bock Series were stunning ,..if you like to read long winded tales.

Anything before 1990. He went straight to shit after he hit the "big time". Totally owned.

The book "Christine" was way better than the movie, but "The Stand" is my favorite from him.

But, since you asked, check out the Bachman books.

The Stand is a classic. He also wrote The Eyes of the Dragon, which was a delightful book, totally different from everything else he wrote.

Christine, The Shining, and the Tommyknockers were also interesting, but maybe go too far to the bizarre.

Used to love his books, but he's come out as such a flake, not so interested anymore.

My favorite was Cujo.

Gunslinger stories good too.

Just make up spooky little kid stories in your mind that a 5th grader could come up with and you'll get all of his books for free.

I have read all of Steven kings books.
Up until tommyknockers, I didn't even finish that book.

Tommyknockers was really good until he started writing really
fast making the book up as he went along. It seemed like he wanted
to finish writing it as fast as possible, so he could start on his next
book.

Which I did not read.

He stopped writing his own work and started living his life in service to something else.

The best authors in history never enjoyed the fruits of their labour but Ste-fan sure made the fuck sure that he would...

I haven't read any of his newer books but can say that most of his Best Sellers were very good. Read one with 5-Star reviews first.
