I think we need more local control and less at state and national level. In NY our district had a very twisted weird school superintendent. When we finally managed to catch on and throw him out, he was immediately given a nice job with the state.

We need more power with local school boards. YOU ELECT THEM. YOU CAN EVEN BE THEM. Your school board needs constant maintenance, because there's constant pressure on them to be politically correct and leftist ane so so inclusive. But they can push back if you can help them. They're members of your local community.

designing a good curricula takes significant expertise which you are less likely to have at the local level and there is no reason public education needs to be adapted to the local community ... let the local community govt have ability to add some elective classes but the main curricula set at the state or federal level

but that is a result of education system having been abused for so many generations, if we had state and fed control of public school curricula since the founding we would never have had a corrupted public education system so you wouldn't have those kinds of people elected at the state and federal level now

I went to the doctor today and I swear to god they had me fill out a multiple choice survey with about 6 choices for gender and then asked for my preferred pronoun.

I was pissed because "your majesty" was not a choice and I identify as king of the fucking world.

That person who does Queer Kids Stuff is just a wannabe actress with issues of her own. She is not a teacher or expert of any kind.

Many, many people have made videos complaining that her channel presents HER OPINIONS in a way unsuitable to educate anyone. This includes people who identify as whatever she's talking about.

Her channel is aimed at children 4-7. Most everyone agrees this is too young especially for the way she's presenting topics.

Lindsey is aware of all of this and doesn't care. She likes her channel and is doing her thing.

But, in short, this is just a YouTube channel. It should not be used as an educational tool in a classroom. Might as well show Jenna Marbles (a funny channel) doing makeup challenges or playing with her dogs. At least Jenna's not hurting anyone.

If a child is another gender, they would grow up knowing it already and not need to be told.
