America has become the dominant energy (oil/natural gas) producer in the World. Price of oil is down due to Over Supply and less Demand. We are also not buying that much of Saudi/Iranian Oil so OPEC has very little influence on America's oil prices...

Markets are up because we are one of the only Markets in the world that don't charge Negative interest rates on Investments. So foreign investors are flocking to American Markets to make money...

Oil gas future's because of refinery fire, Dow 2000 by December.. unemployment will be 50%,gas will be 12$ a gallon..I work for a secret branch of the government..tough times coming up

Been in the market since the Dow was $4800 (1990).

The market is cyclical and will have bad years and good year, but the overall trend will continue to go up (as it has since it's inception).

That said I do keep a small amount (~15%) in physical gold/silver just as a hedge.
