He's not warhawking like Lindsey Graham. Plus he has a lot to lose.
Tell us what Iran has to gain from this? Saudis, Israel and U. S. are feeming for it. Syria is already down. Iraq, down. Yemen, down. Sudan, almost down.
They have no move but to try to be invisible, there is nothing they can get from this. U.S. is just making their time out spot smaller and smaller, looking for a transgression, hoping for war.
