We don't study evil in-depth in the world around us but as we study God's Word we are aware that evil exists, as in the world, battles with the flesh, etc. Walk in Obedience to The Holy Spirit, allowing The Holy Spirit to teach and train us in the Ways of God and the things of God. We are not to be ignorant of Satan's schemes and devices. 2 Corinthians 2:11: Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.
