(WRDW/WAGT) -- A rescue group took to Facebook after experiencing the conditions at a rural animal shelter in Allendale this week. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 43215753 Lakeside Animal Rescue says they went to vaccinate and heartworm test dogs at the shelter, as well as supply them with some extra food. They say they knew the conditions would be bad, but they had no idea what they were truly in for. "Emaciated dogs living in awful deplorable conditions, border lining animal abuse," the Facebook post said. The group says only one employee works at the shelter, and thay employee is working "tirelessly" to keep the animals alive. I can give a great home, and would gladly take an older dog, even blind or deaf, as I have had both without problems. Cannot stand such animal abuse, with the county not providing adequate funds and facilities! People, please please spay and neuter and tell your family and friends they must do the same. So many unwanted dogs primarily because people don't bother to spay and neuter, bringing more animals into the world. Also, ADOPT, DON'T SHOP!!! Do not support puppy mills by purchasing dogs or cats. Pet owners there are mostly irresponsible and it's a problem. SC is the worst state. Roads suck, people are trashy, they are a nuclear dump site. It's bad. |
