List of people pardoned by George W. Bush
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The following is a partial list of people pardoned by George W. Bush. As of June 29, 2007,[1] President George W. Bush had issued 113 presidential pardons to people who have served their entire sentence, and has commuted in addition the sentences of three people.[2] In addition, Bush commuted an additional sentence on July 2, 2007. In this context, a pardon means an executive order vacating a conviction for which the sentence has already been served, thereby eliminating the collateral effects of the conviction, while a commutation means a mitigation of the sentence of someone currently serving a sentence for a crime pursuant to a conviction.

Polly some of those people don't even make sense.

The ability to pardon people is not meant to be used to free guilty people like Libby. It is meant to free innocent people who our corrupt courts have falsly imprisoned. Like the prisoners in Guantanimo for example.

He has decided not to even pretend not to be corrupt anymore.

The statistics for petitions granted are taken from a count of clemency warrants maintained by the Office of the Pardon Attorney. Cases in which multiple forms of relief were granted are counted in only one category. Excluded from this chart are individual members of a class of persons granted pardons by proclamation, such as President Carter's proclamation granting clemency to certain Vietnam era offenders, and persons granted clemency after action by President Ford's Presidential Clemency Board.
