Your argument seems to be that stopping the murder of babies may set a precedent that would allow corrupt politicians to encroach on our freedom in other areas, but the reality is even if we do not stop frivolous abortion, they are still going to encroach on our right to refuse vaccination. In fact, that seems to be the main position of the left. Radical leftists push for laws that allow for full birth abortion while at the same time chipping away at the ability of the people to refuse vaccination. Your second analogy about people wanting to live beyond 68 does not make any kind of sense. How does stopping frivolous abortion empower the government to stop people who are older than 68 from receiving medical care so that they may continue to live? There are already mechanisms in place to take children away from unfit mothers, should the mother turn out to be really horrible. A woman does have a right to her body, but frivolous abortion is not just about the woman's body. It's also about the body and life of the baby.
