Many retirement homes and hospitals will pay for CNA training if you contract to work for them for a year after you finish school. Plus there are many 1 year courses that will keep you out of those loser minimum wage jobs. Unemployment offices will know of tons of training programs and vocational rehab. You have lots of options for bettering your employment situation. There’s always Walmart and McDonald’s not the greatest but still better than no job. Good luck!

And that many jobs which are suitable for 30 - 40 year old people become more and more physically challenging as a person gets older. Could YOU be 60 and work at McDonalds? Survive a 48-hour week on your feet at a factory? Or a hospital-type job which involves picking up and turning patients over in their beds? Not chastising, perhaps you didn't realize Miggy's age. Or you're very young and have lots of strength and stamina and have not been smacked around by Life yet. For a reality check: Today, right now, at this very moment, you have the MOST energy, the MOST stamina, the MOST intellectual acumen, the MOST friends and relatives who are willing/able to help you, and the MOST chance of opportunity knocking that you will have for the rest of your LIFE. And from this moment on, all of those "mosts" will begin to shrink, imperceptibly at first but more noticeably as you get older. Not complaining, or trying to be a downer, that's just how it is.
