For 5 days drink as much unrefined apple juice as possible in addition to your regular meals (8 glasses or so)

On the fifth day eat your normal lunch
3 hours later take 2 teaspoons of Epsom salts in 1 oz warm water.
Follow with a small glass of citrus juice (preferably Grapefruit)
2 hours later repeat the Epsom salts in water.

For the evening meal have citrus juice (grapefruit)

At bedtime drink ½ cup of unrefined olive oil at room temperature.
Follow with a small glass of grapefruit juice.

Go to bed and lie on your right side with right knee drawn up to your chest.

I had mine taken out. It becomes more and more painful when you don’t. It also will affect other organs. My mother-in-law is too scared to take hers out but she always has pancreas issues now. It will eventually force you to go and I definitely dislike going to hospitals. Try avoiding spicy foods or taking ibuprofen.

They must be removing it for a reason. Gall stones, most likely. Gall stones can be broken up with some kind of instrument but the problem is that they keep coming back.

Gall bladder surgery is a tough one to recover from but it's better than having gall bladder attacks. It's the worst pain imaginable, but freedom from them after the surgery.

I was scheduled to have my gallbladder removed until my insurance company refused to pay for it, because they couldn't clearly see my gallstones in my ultrasound images. So my surgeon scheduled a HIDA scan, and I backed out after that, and I manage the pain with a non-fat diet, and peppermint.

Who the fuck would agree to a HIDA scan?!

question #1 should have been "is she sure the gallbladder is the problem?"

i went thru 2 tests about a year apart. 1st said the GB was fine. 2nd said it needed removed. the symptons did not change nor get worse during that time. i did not have it removed my stomach doctor adjusted my meds instead.note i did not have or show any stones.

my smptons were different than my GF. who did have hers out after trying to dissolve stones with meds for a year. she is better since but does have issues of diarreha and others off and on. she refused the diet recommnedations of giving up on fried chicken.

before ANY surgery you do want to look up side affects or issues ppl had after they qwent thru it. many times the surgery will not solve the problem 100% and will bring other problems with it. weigh this out to b sure surgery is worth the time and effort.

I did pass one stone by fasting, drinking tons of apple juice, and using Stone Free.

I'm scared to try the olive oil and lemon juice method because I know I would end up in the emergency room. A tiny amount of fat triggers an attack, so a whole cup of olive oil would probably be an gargantuan attack.

When I have an attack I use strong peppermint tea and lie down with my feet up high. This causes the gallstones to shift into another position.

My ultrasound showed I have an distended gallbladder, but apparently sometimes the stones don't show up in the ultrasounds. I can feel my bulging gallbladder under my ribs when I eat a big meal, and it causes discomfort. It also causes me back pain.

I would love to be able to eat real food again, but this non-fat diet is really good for my heart.

It seems when you get older it's all about pain management.
