Wells Fargo bought First Interstate. I wonder if that improved their service? Quoting: Anonymous Coward 2298HELL NO!!!! |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 259213 United States 07/04/2007 12:05 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I have read that BOA lost a law suit for giving out a customers money to the I.R.S. without any proof or warrant. To cover their asses they sent out notices to all of their customers that they will now hand out your money to anybody that presents a request for that money. They hid it in one of those fine print operations statements. They also said that if you leave your money in the bank after this notice that you are in full agreement with those terms and cannot sue them. I feel sorry for anybody dense enough to bank with either of Wells Fargo or BOA. |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 259213 United States 07/04/2007 12:15 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I don't use banks except to cash checks and pay bills. The only amount of money I have in the bank is strictly for bills. There is always a local bank somewhere that will not charge you anything to do that. Somebody said something about credit unions being better and that is probably true if it is local. Bottom line if the bank wants to keep your money what the hell are you going to do about it. If there is a crisis the first thing they do is shut down the banks so people can't flood them with withdraws, cause the banks don't carry enough cash to cover what has been deposited in them. I am probably telling my age but I remember when the banks where their to help you and now the banks are here to rule over your financial life. Be smart keep the majority of your money out of the banks. Get a fireproof safe. Bury it in a jar in the back yard, anything but let those thieves keep it. My wife used to work in the banks research dept.. When somebody made an error and the customer was owed money unless the customer came looking for that money the banks have the right to keep it after so many days, like lost and found! She said there were tens of thousands being turned over to the bank every month that customers didn't know they had. Most of the time the customer didn't know because that kept bad records themselves. |

She proceeds to ask me when I plan to pay back the $1200.00 I borrowed, and I tell her I don't do business with Wells-Fargo because they are incompetent. She then says "sir, is your social security number XXX-XX-XXXX? to which I reply "not even close, QUIT CALLING ME!!" and crash the phone on her. |

If she says yes I'll ask her if she's wearing panties and that I can smell her scent through them, all the while smacking my lips and breathing heavy. mercury2 nli User ID: 261990 United States 07/06/2007 05:37 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I do like some of the posters do above, I only put enough money in the bank to cover the bills that I have to write checks for. I didn't even have to do that for a long time because I could pay all my bills in person with cash. The big banks have really creepy policies. Both Bank of America and US Bank charge a 5.00 fee to cash a check drawn on a business account at their own bank. In other words if you go to cash your payroll check at the bank it's drawn on, it will cost you 5.00, unless the person with the business account agrees to pay the fee. I think it's a rotten policy that stinks. I had a really bad experience with US Bank once a few years ago, BUT things balance out I guess because right now I have a checking account with them and I had a really good guy there for a while who set me up with a lot of really good extra features. It's the best banking I've had, right now, but there is no loyalty these days, I will take advantage of the situation while I have such good features and flexibility there, but if things change, I'm out of there. I resent the literature and signs in Spanish, that's for sure. |

Had them for 20 years, decent service, of course I had a business acct. If you want a checking acct. that PAYS YOU 1.26% INTEREST, which I've had for four years, go to First Internet Bank Of Indiana....great service thru the internet. [link to www.firstib.com (secure)] |
