Psalm 146:3-5 King James Version (KJV)
3 Put not your trust in princes, nor in the son of man, in whom there is no help

When Jesus came into the region of Caesarea Philippi, He asked His disciples, saying, "Who do men say that I, the Son of Man, am?"

So they said, "Some say John the Baptist, some Elijah, and others Jeremiah or one of the prophets."

He said to them, "But who do you say that I am?"


Matthew 16:13-15

Then behold, they brought to Him a paralytic lying on a bed. When Jesus saw their faith, He said to the paralytic, "Son, be of good cheer; your sins are forgiven you."

And at once some of the scribes said within themselves, "This Man blasphemes!"

But Jesus, knowing their thoughts, said, "Why do you think evil in your hearts?

"For which is easier, to say, 'Your sins are forgiven you,' or to say, 'Arise and walk'?

"But that you may know that the Son of Man has power on earth to forgive sins"—then He said to the paralytic, "Arise, take up your bed, and go to your house."

And he arose and departed to his house.


Matthew 9:2-7

"For the Son of Man is Lord even of the Sabbath."

Son of Man means Sun of Man. In other words if you want to see Jesus as he really is in heaven, just look at the Sun, there he is. Jesus literally is the Sun of Man, he is our Sun.

Son and Sun only sound the same in English, so unless the original bibles in English its a seriously thin stretch

I love that name for Jesus. It makes Him sound so earthy and relatable.

But ask Jesus... is probably the best direction I can give.

Daniel 7:13

“I saw in the night visions, and behold, with the clouds of heaven there came one like a son of man, and he came to the Ancient of Days and was presented before him."


Son of Man is a title in reference to the Messiah in Daniels vision.

Start with what a MAN is, then figure it out.

Now Jesus, going up to Jerusalem, took the twelve disciples aside on the road and said to them,

"Behold, we are going up to Jerusalem, and the Son of Man will be betrayed to the chief priests and to the scribes; and they will condemn Him to death,

"and deliver Him to the Gentiles to mock and to scourge and to crucify. And the third day He will rise again."


Matthew 20:17-19

"just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many."


Matthew 20:28

"But while the bridegroom was delayed, they all slumbered and slept.

Matthew 25:19

Jesus is the blueprint for the New Testament church. He identifies himself as a man empowered by Holy Spirit to demonstrate to mature sons how to walk out this life on earth. "As He is so are we in this world", 1 John 4:17. He is the mirror of us. If He can do it we can do it. This has been hidden from the church for 1500 years but now it's being revealed. It is not by accident that they made the two words homophones in the most ubiquitous language. And actually more than just homophones, the two words differ only by a U and an O, two letters which are close in appearance as well.
