Out of curiosity I did some reading on this problematic model and it isn’t connected to the internet however it does allow some form of wireless connection that is apparently unsecured. Strange |

The recalled pumps are Medtronic's MiniMed 508 insulin pump and MiniMed Paradigm series insulin pumps. The FDA recommends that patients using these models switch their insulin pump to models that are better equipped to protect against these potential risks. A major reason I will not use them…. they don’t get to affect my diabetes in this manner… |
