The mosaic shows wood block remains at upper center. Red rectangles mark wood tissue remains. Note circular bordered pits on tracheid remains. Bordered pits are characteristic of tracheids. In the above mosaic, bordered pits are ubiquitous. Geological processes cannot form these bordered pits.
