There must be some kind of exemption for immigrants in the DOT regulations, I can't get through a weigh station in an empty F350 without being treated like a fucking felon and half the time my truck is deadlined because of some stupid bullshit like my blinker is too dim, but if you don't speak English they apparently just wave you through.

"More details have surfaced about alleged drug abuse and additional driving violations by Volodymyr Zhukovskyy, the 23-year-old charged with killing seven motorcyclists in a New Hampshire crash last week, according to a new report.

The newly unearthed records bring the total number of states in which Zhukovskyy has been charged with impairment or traffic violations to six.

The Boston Globe reports that records from Ohio show Zhukovskyy pleaded guilty in 2014 to driving with a suspended license, speeding, providing false information and possessing drug paraphernalia.

At the time, his license was reportedly suspended in Massachusetts due to a drunk driving charge."...

And the story gets worse, R.W.

"— 2012: Zhukovskyy, then 16 years old, was charged with speeding, driving without a license, and negligent operation of a motor vehicle when police found him and another man in a car after it crashed into brush in West Springfield, The Boston Globe reports.

— June 15, 2013: Nearly three months after he received his Massachusetts license, Zhukovskyy, still a minor, was arrested for drunken driving.

Authorities said he struck a parked car, ran a stop sign, and then hit another vehicle in Westfield, adding that no one was injured, the Globe reports. In RMV records, he was listed as an “immediate threat,” WCVB reports. According to The Westfield News, Zhukovskyy was sentenced to one year of probation in January 2014.

“He was assessed $100, ordered to complete a Driver Alcohol Education Program at a cost of $567.22 and his license was suspended for 210 days,” the newspaper reported. “Charges of failure to stop or yield, possession of an open container of alcohol in a motor vehicle, leaving the scene of a property damage accident and being a person younger than the legal drinking age in possession of liquor were not prosecuted in consideration of the plea agreement.”

— 2013: Zhukovskyy was cited for an equipment violation, according to the Globe.

— December 2015: Zhukovskyy was arrested and charged with third-degree burglary in connection to the theft of several ladders and windows from a Home Depot warehouse in Connecticut, according to The Journal Inquirer of Manchester, Connecticut.

Zhukovskyy admitted to authorities that he and another person took the items in 2014 while he was working for a home improvement company, the newspaper reported. He later received a 90-day suspended jail sentence, according to the Globe.

— January 2017: After Zhukovskyy lost his wallet, a West Springfield gas station employee found it, along with heroin and cocaine inside of it, according to the Globe. Zhukovskyy was ultimately ordered to pay a $200 fine after he pleaded guilty to drug possession."...

Head of Massachusetts RMV resigns amid fallout from deadly NH motorcycle crash

"According to Pollack, the Massachusetts RMV did not act on information provided by the Connecticut Department of Motor Vehicles regarding a May 11 incident that should have triggered the termination of Zhukovskyy's commercial driver's license.

Former MassDOT Chief Operating Officer Jamey Tesler will take over as acting registrar of the RMV. Pollack said Tesler will lead an in-depth review of the Registry's state-to-state data sharing processes to ensure the RMV acts as quickly as possible on any information shared by other states."

Heroin found at home of driver arrested for 7 motorcycle deaths in Randolph

"Packets believed to contain heroin residue were found in the West Springfield, Mass., residence of the driver charged with negligent homicide for the death of seven motorcyclists in Randolph, according to Massachusetts State Police.

State police discovered wax packets with the residue when the Fugitive Apprehension Unit went to the home of Volodymyr Zhukovskyy, 23, of 90 Newbridge St., West Springfield, authorities said. Zhukovskyy has been charged with seven counts of negligent homicide for the seven deaths.

Zhukovskyy was arraigned Monday afternoon in Springfield District Court, where he waived extradition and was expected to be returned quickly to New Hampshire. His court appointed attorney asked that he not be interrogated until he receives legal representation in New Hampshire."
