OP the dollar and Oil are tied together and until the FED stops cutting the rates the dollar is going to get hammered.

As for the yen I would think that someone that is supposed to have your background would make mention that the yen is held low so that it is the source of currenty in the Carry Trade one only has to look back to 2003 and see what happened with the dollar was lower then it is now and the unwinding of the carry trade.

As for the housing market we are along way from figuring out where we really stand in the over all scheme of things.

So what if it goes down? Excellent for US exporters. Excellent for industrial growth. Factories and production will flock to the USA. That's what all you idiots want, industry and production? Well your strong dollar won't do a goddamn thing to bring it any closer.

This isn't a crash. There are strong downward forces at play, but by no means this is a crash with the dots going straight down. If the Fed would shape up their act, the US withdraws from Iraq and some damn taxation would begin - instead of taxcuts - see how the dollar would rebound versus all major currencies.

Shame none of that will happen soon.
