Imo the sub incident ( whatever actually happened)seems more plausible as to cause the commotion it did today. That’s why one of the reports that came out today said we’d know in a couple weeks what everything was about. They have to get stories straight rather than rushing in. Also it’ll give Trump and Putin time to walk this back as an accident or whatever. There’s enough tension with Iran right now and there shouldn’t be a rush to judgement between Russia and US. Think about what’s going on in Israel and how many Russians and Americans are in Israel . Just speculating here, but I think it would be more plausible that they took precautions and are gonna now try to fix it. More plausible than some type of coup by the VP.

The story went that Trump called off the attack after the drone was shot down- at the last minute. My observation was that we had statements from all parties involved.
