Well I have enough venison in the freezer to fend off starvation for a year, and there's a buck who's outside my house every night that once the game wardens aren't a problem anymore I could shoot at will. That would get me from starvation rations to eating pretty well for a year.

I have enough fuel to keep the meat frozen for a year, after that point there won't be any competition for food. So I think I'm OK, how 'bout you?

Funny, I went to the local Chinese buffet tonight, crowd was dead before the 4th and I got there early at 6 and they were almost all out of beef and chicken already at the Mongolian grill.

Majority of canned or dried food originates from China.

They are the "suppliers" who are cutting off the supply because they are in a trade war with the west.

So, there is a supply chain.
Storage.
Trucking.
There is a lot that goes into moving food around the world.

Goverments and food producers are in cahoots hiding inflation. The food producers introduce a new format every second year reducing the volume of product you get.

Inflation is hidden in the inflation index by just comparing the prices of the common format Yr/Yr.

The inflation is realized by the folks when the larger volume format is removed from the market ... as an example noticed 3/4 size Pringles cans just yesterday.
