Quoting: Anonymous Coward 77007920 Glad to see at least someone else has noticed this...the patties on those things are almost nonexistent....what a rip off. Want to know something else weird? They ONLY SAY THE QUARTER POUNDER IS MADE WITH 100% BEEF. Go and look at a sign in the next few days. I noticed that the meat on the 10 to 1 patties (small burgers, double cheesburgers) has gotten rubbery. Next time I went, I got some fish sandwiches. Tasted like complete garbage. Never going to McDonalds again. |

They are the "suppliers" who are cutting off the supply because they are in a trade war with the west. [link to www.senecafoods.com] Producers in North America can legally claim their products are "locally" produced even with as little as 10% of the actual final product coming from a local source. Here in Canada, producers can literally claim their products are local if they are simply packaged here. So you cant trust any company who says their products are local. Trust me, we aren't buying food from china, without the USA and Canada their 1.4 billion people would starve to death |

It must warm up for the tree of life and the tree of wisdom to grow. Think about it, tree of life has 12-fruits. Stone fruits and tropical on the same tree...require a warmer planet. Let it be, make preps. Dont be like Babylon and wind up eating dirt |

Could be a coincidence but damn SON... they were bare!!! Quoting: PugTard Geez I am slow on the uptake. I forget already all the years I worked retail where we took inventory on July 1st every year. I noticed the shelves were bare when I went to a big grocery store last weekend that I don't usually go to. Retailers let their inventory run down before they count everything July 1st. They pay taxes on the unsold inventory they're sitting on. |
nitebird User ID: 76362614 United States 07/03/2019 09:58 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | We get a lot of imported food from Mexico and other countries. We export a lot of soy and grain products to other Countries. From what I've heard, many farmers have cisterns and storage facilities that will last them this season for exporting. It is next year that will pose a problem with USA Farmers and their exports... Quoting: DuckNCover There is a small concern regarding Hog Farmers and their feed. Typically, they use Soybeans for food. It is a possibility they may use Wheat and Grain based products. This is due to many soybean crops being destroyed by flooding and the price of Grains would be comparably lower. Eventually, this may drive the price up on Wheat and Grain. Yea the Import of Mexico food is a no go... I buy only USA.. My wife was born in Mexico, she will not eat imported products I definitely try to avoid the Mexican produce. Some stores have only Mexican tomatoes so then I skip it, find tomatoes at another store, or get them at the farmers market. I'll eventually have a garden of my own, but currently no space for one where I live. Never discuss preps, but make sure you stick a little extra food on the shelf and in the freezer when you can. Idiots go nuts when a storm hits and clear the shelves of bread. Stick an extra loaf in the freezer or make sure you have flour and yeast. |
Vision Thing User ID: 77782989 United States 07/03/2019 09:59 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Considering the percent of food produced in CA the Midwest could stop farming altogether and we'd be fine...countries that net import food might have a bad time, but we'd be fine. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 5194288 Unless all hell breaks loose after the 2020 Presidential election and California breaks away from the States and we have Civil War 2.0... Just to be spiteful, California will probably not sell their food crops to the Red States. That means we will have to napalm their crops so that they starve... We are the bread basket, we can go without lettuce. but you can never go without soy, wheat, corn and barley. I don't consume any of those products, if at all possible? And yes I get that they are used for animal feed, but that only applies to me in the most minimal way. Last Edited by Vision Thing on 07/03/2019 10:00 PM |
