I buy bulk grain for my horses, when I went to pick up the grain I asked the feed store about prices going up. They told me that corn went up from 4 to 6 dollars a bushel. 2 dollars doesn't sound like a lot, but % wise that is pretty significant. She said it was from the issues the Midwest had with flooding. Just FYI, this isn't the type of corn people eat, but it will cause meat prices to increase. It may also cause gas prices to increase too because of the ethanol.
Quoting: Anonymous Coward 73045672 Some of it is also used in everything we buy that uses corn oil and corn sugar and corn everything, plus ethanol, plus stock food. We are not going to see much of anything in the way of corn and corn products, and this will be a very large bite out of our normal purchases.
