I have a 1993 F250 right now. the only domestic I would buy is a Ford..The problem is, chances of getting a lemon are far greater than a Toyota..Any vehicle can last 30 years if you keep pouring money into it. I had an 03 tundra for 10 yrs..my son wrecked it 4 times..still got 9K for it..ZERO mechanical issues |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 75396825 ![]() 07/05/2019 10:23 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Inflation is getting pretty wild, I prefer to buy homes with cash and right no homes are appreciating at almost 9% per year... for upper end homes that’s almost $80,000 increase in cost per year which is ridiculous. As much as I love making a lot of money it’s useless if you can’t buy assets at reasonable rates |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 77434671 I agree that the more they integrate that crap into vehicles the more bugs they introduce into said vehicle..I like electric windows and doorlocks..maybe a nav system..that's about it..all of that driver defensive crap on mercedes etc is just asking for a headache |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 76709300 ![]() 07/05/2019 10:26 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Dream on GM Should have stuck with a formula that worked for decades. How are all those 100k truck owners going to feel when they find out that ot costs GM around 11k to make that truck, and that its going to have mechanical problems and literally become obsolete before the final payment is made? Not to mention trade in values with over 100k miles. |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 77738710 Had a chevy before this one. burned oil due to MDS. Got a Ram now. :) I ran into that on my '14 5.3 Chevy. I understand the problem goes away if you reprogram system to lock it in V8 mode (if it has not yet been damaged). Trying that now to see if it mitigates the problem with mine. If not, bye bye p/u. |

Tonight We Ride! User ID: 77541527 ![]() 09/15/2023 08:53 AM ![]() Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | You'll need some serious towing capacity to afford the increasingly luxurious pickups hitting dealerships. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 75169334 Are luxury pickup prices headed into six-figure range? It certainly looks like it. With General Motors reportedly considering a Chevrolet Silverado pickup with a price tag of more than $100,000, we're entering a new phase in America's love affair with pickups. Sure, you can still get a Nissan Frontier midsize for less than $20,000 – in part because it hasn't been redesigned in 14 years. And GM and Fiat Chrysler are competing for market share at the low-end of the spectrum, which could involve discounts. But if you want a brand-new full-size pickup with all the bells and whistles, the price can easily top $40,000, $50,000, even $60,000. $100,000 pickup?: Chevy is working on a new Silverado that could be the first one. The average transaction price for the best-selling vehicle in America, the Ford F-series pickup, was $47,454 in the first quarter. [link to www.usatoday.com (secure)] 20% of car payments are now $1000 or more excluding insurance, tax, title. Credit standards are rock bottom now. This will end badly. |
