Using starting fluid to quickly seal a stubborn tire to a rim.

I used a little too much ether & the whole side up the truck blew of the ground 2 feet...yeah...I was young.  If it's a small tire like on a lawnmower i use a belt or a rope in the center of the tire as tight as i can get it. and add air quick. Usually works easy enough. LOL I like your tip better, sounds safer.
