The bailout in 2008 was paid out to the banks and the 1% who threatened to throw the whole world into chaos if they didn't get their handout. Most boomers were just trying to hang on to their jobs and their house. Many suffered, lost everything, and are still trying to recover. It is hard to start over in your late 50s that is why you need to have a plan in your 20s, Millennial. You were what, 8, in 2008? Thst is not old enough to understand what happened. Yes, it was brought on by greedy people who only wanted to make a buck. It was not only boomers that brought it on. You know what, all that did was kick the can down the road. It is a stituation that is impoosible to fix. What is your cure? You think AOC can fix it? I am not sure she knows how to balance her own checkbook.

Social Security was stolen in the 70's, when the boomers joined the workforce. Reagan tried to reform it in the 80s by raising what was put in as well as the age to collect. No, I don't mind paying into the system that helps people who are older and can't work. Whether or not I will recieve my full benefits, that I paid into all my life, is debatable. Millenials are too wrapped up in themselves to worry about the older generation.

The funniest thing millennial is that one day, Lord willing, you will grow old too. When you are old, you are not strong enough to work or to fight. You need to prepare now. Social Security is one way boomers thought they were preparing. We got tricked too.

They are actually weaker than their dads and have equal grip strength male or female.

Show me ten millennials that can safely open a washer, troubleshoot what is wrong, buy the part, remove a d replace the part, and then check the operation toensure it works.

Because as a young husband, I did that all the time as well as fixig everything around the house and working full time...in my early 20s.

show me ten boomers that know how to write computer code, who know how to use the internet, and who know how to interact with people of foreign cultures.

You, any of us really, can talk all day long about what happened yesterday, last week, ten years ago and you know what? We cannot change a damned thing about what's past.

The question then becomes what do we do today, or tomorrow?

It's easy to be a critic, it's easy to "critique". It's much harder to be an author, to create something.

Probably to vent/ Blow off some steam. say things on the internet people don't get the chance to say in real life.

But I never see the most strident ones ever cool off and offer ideas, a suggestion, etc.

Venting I understand. Bitching again and again about that which cannot be changed is a great way to stunt intellectual and emotional growth in my opinion.

I think some, like myself, don't believe that there is enough time to change the boomers perspective before the demographic changes in U.S. may the political situation irreversible. As a generational voting bloc, they are a lost cause for the most part.

I know 15 year olds who are far more mature than pretty much any baby boomer.

Baby boomers simply project their own faults onto others. Boomers accuse millennials of being "crybabies" but actually it's the boomers who act like overgrown children and throw a temper tantrum whenever they don't get their way.

The boomers were the first one to pay into social security for the betterment of the older people in this country. Some of the older ones got benefits they never paid into, but that was fine with the baby boomers.

The problems started when the government took money out of Social Security and put it into the General Account and spent the money as they wished..they replaced the money with I.O.U's.

Now that the baby boomers...who paid into the system their entire working life are now starting to collect..why does that bothers you?

Its just another divide and conquer tactic. Every generation has its own strengths and weaknesses. As one people, all the generations should pitch in to help each other.

But that's not what our enemies want for us.
