Having a house in Huntington Beach, built on sandy soil.. is just waiting for LIQUEFACTION to sink it into the ground.
Quoting: Rayelle Liquefaction happens where landfill is. Where there is marsh or wetland underneath. Not sandy soil like Huntington Beach. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 41450335 You will have to zoom in on this map, but a large part of Huntington Beach is expected to have a significant amount of liquefaction in a large quake. Lots of very small fissure cracks in that area. There is a map showing all the main sewer lines.. many sewer lines are very old original pipes with age or stress cracks in them. When I went to find the CA map of the fault lines that I used to use, it was gone. Quoting: Rayelle
