And hey, dig this: at one of the local Wal-Marts in town, they're selling these emergency food bucket things on the shelves if you go look at the area that has large bulk items (like Country Time lemonade, big cans of nacho cheese sauce, etc etc). $20 a pop! It's a few days supply with a couple different entrees. They're in a white square bucket with a handle on it. Sam's club too had a larger emergency supply bucket for a bigger price (I forgot how much). Now is a good time to grab em! Never saw those. Have to look next time I am near a wal mart. For those looking for or needing to store water, don't buy thos little bottles of water. Too expensive. Buy some cheap 2 or 3 liter bottles of soda for under $1 and dump the soda. You now have a cheap water container. Every time we go through a hurricane scare, it boggles me that there is no water in any store, yet there are endless shelves full of generic soda. |
