I'm staying put. I have always stayed put. I am in Metairie, just outside of New Orleans, in a second floor apartment. I've got supplies. I am ready.
Quoting: Gemini Rising But, what do you do if you have no a/c no running water? A Katrina type event? Do you feel safe? I grew up here without a/c. I stayed for Katrina. I learned a lot from that experience. I even know how to flush a toilet using a bucket of flood water! Seriously, though, I've got nowhere to go and no money to spend getting there. My boss expects us to be at work as usual tomorrow and Friday, and if I was going to evacuate, Friday night will be too late to leave. I don't want to tie up Luis's thread, so I will post in the other hurricane doom threads with updates, anecdotes, and so on. Luis, keep up the good work!
