Only 26 ft above sea level. Should I be concerned about this? She is supposed to be moving back home with me on Tuesday, and tomorrow is my Bday, I feel like this is a bad omen, and I am sort of freaking out. She has only been living down there a year, so we arent too familiar with this. |

NHC blew several storms in the mid-atlantic last year that were under duress by shear and quickly turned into major hurricanes despite the models. This afternoon should be a determining factor at how high this could get ramped up. If you read the whole of NHC's latest discussion you can see that everyone over in NHC is frustrated and confused by this system. Mother Nature is not constrained by man's categories, and measurement metrics. Fate whispers to the warrior "You cannot withstand the storm" the warrior whispers back "I am the storm" INTJ-A |

The Mayor of New Orleans will be stepping down.... This Storm is heading straight up and following the Mississippi delta and is going to stall and dump upwards of 40 inches of rain and the levees all over the place are going to breach... Just try and Imagine what that is going to look like and where you currently live if in that area.... It will still be there and other weather systems are going to head into the effected areas...after the fact.... Whats on the weather horizon for later in the week.... Pay attention.... Humans always hope for the best....That kind of thinking is WRONG this time....and everytime now where the weather will be concerned.... But after this event I think people will dummy up.... |

As we all know, the west side of the storm gets the heavy rain. So.. NO is going to get hammered. Especially if this thing moves slow as it comes inland and drifts back to the east. |
