I've said this for years. Most Americans are decent, hard working, normal individuals who want nothing more out of life than to be left alone to raise their families, work, worship (or not) how they wish, and occasionally take a family vacation. They aren't racist, bigoted, homophobic or any other label that's being tied to them. They're not wanting a war. They understand when it gets to the point there's no option, the sacrifices and losses that will occur. They aren't in a hurry to rush into it. BUT...they are watching. Eventually the political elite will push it to far. They will cross the line (I have no idea where the line is, or what it is, but it IS there), and the hardworking, normal, quiet Americans will stand up and say enough.

It's not a question of if...but when. It's not, will it be bad, but how bad will it be.

Instead of revolution, I really think the states that still love the US constitution need to get together and kick states like CA out of the union. They can also grant Puerto Rico their independence. Now, far leftest would have 2 new countries to move to.

NYC could be some sort of international city state as well, then there are 3 new countries that can be as Maoist as they want.

It's flawed to believe it would be state vs. state like the first civil war. California voted 33% for Trump, and image all the right wing Californians who didn't bother voting for him because they knew he wouldn't win in that state. If there is going to be any kind of conflict it's going to be small scale and balkanized.
