back to Anu people Canaan comes in fact from Kin-Anu, that is to say belonging to the Anu [2]. Anu is the name of the black people who came from the Great Lakes and southern Africa and who founded in early times the Egyptian civilization. This means that the Canaanites were in fact Egyptians who settled in the Near East. The Canaanites dwelt in current day Palestine-Israel-Lebanon-Syria. They practiced African Spirituality and situated, through their descendants, their origin to the frontiers of Africa [3]. [ link to en.lisapoyakama.org] Quoting: Anonymous Coward 77806518 Tolkien’s word Ainur means the "Holy Ones" of which the singular is Ainu. There are two orders of these gods in his mythology - the Valar and the Maiar. The plural Ainur and the singular Ainu are clearly derived from the Sumerian father of the gods - Anu and the Anunnaki, whilst Valar appears in the Aryan pantheon as Vala "The encircler", reminiscent of the Orobourus, the alchemical Dragon Ring that Tolkien wrote so much about. We will also remember the Val-Kyrie at this juncture. [ link to drakenberg.weebly.com (secure)]
