Tommy Robinson has been given a nine-month jail sentence after he was found guilty of contempt of court at an earlier hearing. The 36-year-old, whose real name is Stephen Yaxley-Lennon, broadcast reports that encouraged “vigilante action” and “unlawful physical” aggression against defendants in a sexual exploitation trial, according to the judges who found him guilty earlier this month. Robinson, from Luton, Bedfordshire, had denied breaching a reporting ban by livestreaming footage of defendants arriving at court. He insisted he had only referred to information already in the public domain. [ link to www.theguardian.com (secure)] Given 9 months for interviewing muslims that were found guilty in a court of law. In other words he was sentenced to prison for doing what the media does every day. Without a doubt he is a political prisoner. He will most likley die in prison by the muslims that want him dead. No, they don't. The media reports the results of trials. It does NOT comment upon trial proceedings until the trial is over. Robinson tried to interview defendants before they had been sentenced. That is "contempt of law." The court had no choice but to find him guilty of this crime. This is a legal issue. It has NOTHING to do with freedom of speech. In British law, you cannot comment on court proceedings until they have finished because it might influence the jurors. Robinson got what he deserved. He was OUTSIDE livestreaming himself. Outside in the street. No one else was outside. IT was so dam staged.
