all the cops can do is write a report about the situation.

Dont even call them they’ll just look for reasons to lock the victim up. Kill the intruder and get rid of the body, it’s not like he told anyone where he’d be. Oh don't worry. This is what you are supposed to do: "Excuse me, my good sir, but you don't happen to be a plain clothes officer executing a no knock warrant, do you?" "No sir" "And do you happen to be brandishing a deadly weapon of any variety?" "Yes sir" "And do you have intent to use that weapon to inflict violence?" "Yes sir" "And is the degree of violence you inflict potentially lethal?" "Yes sir" "Very well. My use of deadly force for self defense is now justified. Please remain still while I use the minimum necessary force"
