Unfortunately she took that risk by coming here with a bunch of clearly filthy people who had no showers or way to the restroom the whole trek up. It’s a sad story and I am sad for her loss but why bring a baby around a bunch of people who are carrying diseases and germs? That almost seems more risky than staying in her previous environment.

People make mistakes and hopefully learn from them. This mother made how many mistakes starting with crossing into Mexico illegally along with the dangers she forced the child into all the way from Mexico's southern border only to cross illegally at another country's border. My sympathy AND empathy has been drained by the amount of stupid mistakes she put this child through. I feel for the dead child...the mother...NO.

We're not afforded even half the mistakes this mother made before our own children could be taken away. And really...20 and 60 million dollar lawsuits?
