Here's what's in store for Scotland and North/North East of England >>>

[link to news.sky.com (secure)]

Parts of Scotland and northern England could face flooding as up to a month's worth of rain may fall in the space of two hours.

The Met Office has issued a thunderstorm warning for much of Scotland, bar the west coast, and large swathes of northern England and the Midlands, including East Anglia.

It is in place until 9pm tonight, and meteorologists warn there could be 30mm of rain in one hour and 50mm over a two to three-hour period.

The average amount of rainfall in July for the UK as a whole is 70mm, and in England it is 55-56mm.

The heavy showers could cause flooding and travel disruption, with warnings of fast-flowing or deep floodwaters which may cause a danger to life...

I was wondering where it came from, so from the north. But there was another such event in Italy in Pescara and they are on the same parallel line. It makes you wonder.

UK weather forecast: ‘Heat dome’ to blast Britain as temperatures sizzle to 32C...

BRITAIN is set to be blasted with an extended period of sizzling weather as a ‘heat dome’ sweeps across the UK bringing soaring temperatures of up to 32C (90F) as early as next week...
