Chinese healthcare covers 4X as many people for a tiny fraction of what US system costs

I know someone who married a Chinese woman. Even though she had health insurance here in the US she went back to China to have a baby. She said the medical care there was better.

its not cheap for foreign travelers.

I got the flu in shanghai and they sent a dr. to my room and it was $400.

I did get an iv tho.

there were 2 things that was pretty cool tho. first they came to my room and the herbal iv i got knocked the flu out in about 6 hours.

so i guess it was worth it, otherwise i might have spent my whole trip in my room.

thats true but gas is also 30 cents a gallon. The govt controls everything and you have no say so in what treatment if any is provided.

My 19 yr old sone had an eye exam and a throat swab on 2 different days. Throat swap, took less than 10 minutes TOTAL!

$500 for the eye exam

$250 for the throat swab!

What do you know about it OP? You ever been to China? You ever been to a medical facility in China? You ever seen the quality of said care in China?
