What is the biggest single act of kindness you have experienced?

Just incredibly bizarre stories.

My parents allowing me to survive while sponging off of them for 18 years.

a lady got me "the complete works of Shakespeare" for a secret santa thing at work

she was an old kind Pentecostal woman

she knew I had a thing for lit.

My son bought me a new car when my old car left me stranded on the side of the highway on Christmas Eve.

Nicest thing anyone has ever done for me.

I was given Miracles when there was nothing else that would do.

Rather interesting when I think back on the times I should have died or at the very least, ended up in the hospital.

God has my back. I suspect He has all our backs... if we call upon Him.

I once when I was about 16 gave a homeless man 20$. He asked if I had more then we both got a six pack of Mickey beer. We all got drunk that day. 20$ is all I had.

I asked someone who had invaded my life to leave me alone, and they did.

One time when I was in jail, I gave my towels and shampoo to an inmate, he was probably homeless also. I was only there for less then 12 hours because I was dumb and got arrested for less than a roach. The cop that arrested me was a retired Marine. Told me don't worry this is like being in the military.

But I ate the lunch ham and cheese sandwich it was really good they even had cool aid. Played some cards then got out. It was hard to sleep cuz the lights are always on in jail. So idk if that counts. I just answered yes sir to the judge on the video cam. Now here I am, eating a ham and cheese sandwich. I guess it works both ways. I cant wait to be a Police Officer.

Well all that crookedness will soon be washed away by nuclear fire, courtesy of the people who wrote the laws that put you in the slammer. Cosmic justice, and all that.

I was chatting it up with a lady at the casino about filmmaking and her son was a writer so we talked and it was normal conversation not flirting or anything . Anyways..I lost 200 dollars in like 40 minutes . So I get up to leave and tell the lady have a nice day and I’m walking out of the casino and I hear the lady yell my name behind me and she comes up to me and hands me 200 dollars and said leave the casino and don’t come back for awhile . At first I told her I could t take it but she said she was up a couple grand and wanted to be nice to me. She said pay it forward . So I stayed out of the casino for like 6 months and the next time I went I won big and gave 60 dollars to a friend.

You caught me on my edit. I cant wait to be a Police Officer. What goes around comes back around. There's always that one that change your life forever.

Being an ex-con seems to be an excellent start.

I was young , pregnant , and due to being temporarily displaced , I was cashless and very , very hungry .
A man must have watched me looking at a breakfast bar because he asked if I was hungry . I said yes and that I was caring a baby .
He loaded up a tray with the works and purchased it for me .
Never forgot his kindness .
I also consider it a direct answer to prayer for nourishment at the time .

Sorry what? Police are not the enemy, they are the ones that set you straight. Protect and Serve. I wanna give that Karma back around.

I've done that for many people. However the people here would say it is ego that did it, so as to not give me any credit for it. It doesn't matter in the end.

No it pisses people like you off, because you have to if only temporarily look at the fact that it is the goodness of people on which you rely, and that not every person is capable of it. You cannot recognize that individual goodness, because the welfare of the tribe must come first, and that means that every act must come from a place that isn't volitional. But you have seen what people can do if there are no more good ones, but persist in continuing to take and take and only show gratitude to God and malice to those who give. When goodwill, human goodwill, is used up, then the people who seriously do not care and won't listen to your drivel about God being the only source of good, well...they simply kill you. Why do you insist on a jury of your peers by constantly badmouthing and even betraying the actual source of human goodness?

My late aunt and her husband helped me and my wife pay our high mortgage a few months as I worked to modify my mortgage to a much more affordable house payment. Prevented me from loosing my home! Such a blessing...

Why dont you and your kind focus on crucifying christ?

I didn't say police are the enemy. They are neutral, which requires suppressing internal notions of what is right and what is wrong to follow orders. They enforce laws which are to be regarded in the future as unjust. I think being a criminal is excellent preparation for that kind of cold-bloodedness.

I'll give a few examples I have personally witnessed as we are always supposed to be kind to others.

Someone paying over $10,000 USD for another to 'start their life over'.

Someone raising numinous foster children.

Someone giving over $3,000 to help someone with a sudden expense.

A living organ donor sharing a kidney with someone else.

A car dealer giving a new vehicle to someone unable to work from injury and needing transportation for medical treatment and to take their children to various activities.

Miracles happen every day--we each just need to make them happen for others!

Racial loyalty is not kindness, let's get that straight right now. In fact, from what I've seen, it is the exact opposite. The business end of racial loyalty always faces outward, so its beneficiaries never see it as anything other than good. Even now.

The others I see are those who use intimidation, those who privately object but say nothing, those who don't object at all and consider it fun, those who profit off of it, those who use two sets of books for their morality, and those who make no difference one way or the other. This is about power, and I wish there was some consistency and honesty in that regard, but it's not going to happen here. I think I'm going to go back to sleep, although even that arena isn't sacrosanct to you, as much as you talk of 'the sacred.'

Yeah. If you love them, let them go.

I would do the same, especially if I loved them.

How awesome

As a youngster, my suitcase fell out of a rental car trunk onto the highway in Florida. Someone stopped, got it, actually took it to somewhere on Disney property, turned it in, and Disney shipped it to my parents' house and it arrived a few weeks later. That took effort from multiple people. And nothing was taken from my bag, either (not that there was anything to take).

Another time, I locked keys in a rental truck, and a random woman gave me a ride. And a guy in an office let me use his cellphone to call to get the keys out of the truck.

A random guy passing by helped me lug a car battery once, when I had an injured foot and was limping.

Yet another time, my phone slipped and fell on a plane, and I heard it slide somewhere. Someone sitting by me noticed and got people in the rows around me to hunt around and find it.

I always try to help people when I'm in a position to help them. I've returned wallets, helped people find things, helped people on airplanes, etc. I tried returning a Kindle I found once, I assume/hope the person got it back. Amazon was not very helpful about it. The person who lost it was kind of weird about it, too (they left it in an airport bathroom).
