Someone bought me a brand new car

The others I see are those who use intimidation, those who privately object but say nothing, those who don't object at all and consider it fun, those who profit off of it, those who use two sets of books for their morality, and those who make no difference one way or the other. This is about power, and I wish there was some consistency and honesty in that regard, but it's not going to happen here. I think I'm going to go back to sleep, although even that arena isn't sacrosanct to you, as much as you talk of 'the sacred.'

How awesome

As a youngster, my suitcase fell out of a rental car trunk onto the highway in Florida. Someone stopped, got it, actually took it to somewhere on Disney property, turned it in, and Disney shipped it to my parents' house and it arrived a few weeks later. That took effort from multiple people. And nothing was taken from my bag, either (not that there was anything to take).

Another time, I locked keys in a rental truck, and a random woman gave me a ride. And a guy in an office let me use his cellphone to call to get the keys out of the truck.

A random guy passing by helped me lug a car battery once, when I had an injured foot and was limping.

Yet another time, my phone slipped and fell on a plane, and I heard it slide somewhere. Someone sitting by me noticed and got people in the rows around me to hunt around and find it.

I always try to help people when I'm in a position to help them. I've returned wallets, helped people find things, helped people on airplanes, etc. I tried returning a Kindle I found once, I assume/hope the person got it back. Amazon was not very helpful about it. The person who lost it was kind of weird about it, too (they left it in an airport bathroom).

I am a kind person, but will empty a weapon into an intruder in my home with blessings from my country police.

I will help an elderly neighbor who was injured in World War II at any hour of the day or night, yet will call ICE and law enforcement on an illegal alien in my county.

I never shared anything sacred in this or other posts as it is most often pearls before swine.

I may not understand the point you are stating, however.

I do however know I can help an elderly veteran one day and end a trespasser another and sleep just as well each night.

Was dating a woman who turned out to be quite unstable, exhibited characteristics of borderline personality disorder and narcissism. Pretty certain she was lying and cheating, too.

She broke up with me.

One more. It was my birthday. I used to spend most of whatever birthday money I got on gifts for Christmas for family. All I wanted was boots. I’m having a side convo at Macys w a friend about my bday and overpriced shoes...I probably dont look like I belong there....some random girl started chatting me up and hands me some coupon and walked off with a “happy birthday” Turned out it was store credit Or a mega coupon....anyway, Free Boots :)

Ahh cute a cat get boots.

Years ago i was struggling and commented somewhere on glp that i could barely afford $10 shoes and was walking around in tattered ones. A LOT of posters offered to get me something. I didn’t take the offer but there’s a lot of good souls on here.
