This is the lady behind Sanctuary and at the forefront of making fully humanlike AI.

She mentions some interesting points here such as the inevitable destruction of capitalism with AI labor, controlling the bias and beliefs of the AI and how likely these things could happen within as soon as 10 years.

Let's say that we have AI synths in the future but also have full on transhumanists cyborgs. Will they compete with one another? Would it be like Data vs. the Borg on a massive level?

They will never make a fully animatronic robot indistinguishable from a real human. Take the backstory for the ALita movie. The evil villain Nova lives on top of the floating city with all the elites, only the people don't know that their brains have been removed and a silicon chip has replaced it. Nova essentially remotes in to anyone via the transmitter in their skulls.
