My poor sister made the mistake of looking down when we were in an elevator with my morbidly obese next door neighbour. He was wearing sandals, and to this day, she still talks about the trauma of seeing his feet.

No man should be wearing flip flops or sandals. I'll cut you a break if you're a life guard, otherwise, cover up those nasty feet.

I can’t walk in them. Couple times, I’ve lost one mid step and scraped up my feet pretty bad walking on side walks. Makes me shutter just to think about it.

Flip flops are for the beach, the pool, camping shower shoes, but not for city life, or wearing in place of real shoes. I went to Boston a few years ago and in cool October every college student was wearing flip flops on public transportation. Darkened dirty feet in cool temps wearing flip flops, yuck.

they mess with your posture, can give you hammertoes, can destroy your heels (because your heels strike harder) and lets not even mention Plantar Fasciitis (because you grip with your toes to keep them on, which tightens the calf muscles which messes up the muscles in your feet) You can go with a pair with a thicker sole and and arch for beach/pool wear but don't wear them long term

I have nice feet, no lie. I prefer socks with them. I like to keep my feet clean.

That is true, but only however thin flip flops with no support for feet.

Its very important to buy slip ons with support and with bend, especially if you plan to walk around in them for hours at a time.

Me neither. I only have two sets of shoes, steel toes for work, and cowboy boots for everything else.

My daughter got me a pair of the EVA Birkies (kind of ugly but so comfy) I even tried Born, but nope I spent more than one summer gimping around with plantar fasciitis, I don't mess around anymore
