No. I thought quite a bit about joining APA several years ago, as I shot with APA players. Two 7s and one 6 that I’d often win against (Straight and 8B). My job, software, was consistent and often unanticipated overtime, so I couldn’t have reliably shown up for matches.

Since then, my game has improved a good deal, and it’s something I think about. I’d have to drive in to Nashville so that’s a check in the ‘no thanks’ column (distance).

How about you? APA? If so what is your SL and what game do you prefer (I’m guessing 9B)?

ETA: the APA players I’ve shot against seem to have a tight game. Like they’re guarding. Difference being, I was loose because I didn’t have ‘street rep’ to lose, which probably worked in my favor at the time.

Also, watching 7’s play, they look like amateurs (I know it’s an amateur league). Those 7s will flat whip your ass if you’re a knock-around, my take on that is the APA matches I watch on YT are on-camera, and the vast majority of them are psyched by it. Whereas SVB, Pagulayan, Thorpe, etc. etc. are usually in the zone regardless of what’s going on around them.
