Anonymous Coward User ID: 62054974 Canada 07/12/2019 11:50 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Suspect my GF lied to me about something involving money. Placing the evidence here, opinions are appreciated. Quoting: Sciencefan 6/17 9:36pm Her- forgot to pay my phone bill. (she lives an hour from me) Me- It's just a late fee though, if you miss a payment? Her- I'm ritually a month behind. She has 2 phones and an Ipad, asked for $275 I sent her the money. 7/2 (asking about her day) Her- ...My phone got turned off halfway through the day By my thinking, even if she was a month behind, if she made a payment on 6/17 she shouldn't have service interruption until at least 7/17. Me yesterday- 9:30 pm the 17th you asked for 275 for a phone bill, then 3 weeks later you tell me your phone was cut off. How is that possible? Her - my phone bill is always a month behind. So having paid what's past due I still had to pay the current month. I didn't press the matter but her explanation offered no new information. I know the knee jerk reaction is that she lied. I'm hoping someone will have some insight on how it's possible to pay a phone bill on 6/17 and have service interrupted on 7/2 even if she stays a month behind. No "women suck" responses, just some cold hard logic or knowledge of phone billing please. Any ideas? Thanks If she likes sucking your dick, keep her. If not, dump the scamming bitch. |

Quoting: fromthefuture Can you check her account and see when and if the bill was paid ? Tell her to give you the last bill that came in the mail and youll take care of it. But dont pay for anything else without the physical bill in your hands. Tell her not to worry moving forward, just give you the bills and youll do it. Of course you will break up wirh her because she will refuse and get aggressive. If she does get aggressive at all just say 'Look i was just trying to help but youre being rude so i wont help anymore' Then you dump her quick because she eoll dump you otherwize |

Before giving a girlfriend money, ask this simple question, "would you marry her?". BTW, my cell phone provider shuts my phone off if I'm a day late. I never heard of a cell phone provider let someone go one to two months behind in bills. Coupled with the long distance nature of the relationship, it doesn't look good. For all you know, your paying both her and her real boyfriends cellphone bill. |

You may be right about another boyfriend. I wouldn't pay for anyone's bills unless I was married to them. And even then, only if they were living within their means and I knew they weren't using me and really loved me. I had to edit and mention that I NEVER EVER asked a boyfriend to pay my bills, or anyone for that matter. If people have emergency issues with money, there is city and state aid...temporarily. If it's not an emergency, budget yourself better. |

The girl is bad at handling her finances and needs help! Quoting: Anonymous Coward 77190942 I am aware some carriers give a month leeway. Mine does as well. However, if she paid the delinquent bill on 6/17 that doesn't explain how how her phone was cut off on 7/2 which was exactly 15 days later. As I explained in the first post, if the delinquent bill was paid on 6/17 I wouldn't expect her phone to be cut off until at least 7/17, a month later. So I'm not sure what you're saying indicates she didn't lie, unless there's something I'm missing? Last Edited by Sciencefan on 07/12/2019 12:07 PM Sciencefan |

Why does she need two phones plus ipad? I've never lived off a man....not even my partners I married...does she work? Real women of integrity don't mooch off their bf an hour away. ...and yes, she's lying. If she's capable of this manipulation, she's also capable of cheating and using other men this way too. Sciencefan (OP) User ID: 77751941 United States 07/12/2019 12:40 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I went to my phone carrier store and asked one of the workers there about this. They said no, not possible for phone service to be cut off before 7/17 when a payment was made 6/17. Only possible if a payment installment was agreed upon where partial payment was made 6/17 and the rest was expected shortly after. So, yea I'm convinced she was lying. It's not just some girl I had a thing for, it was someone who has been important to me for a long time. I don't feel bad having given her the benefit of the doubt. Sadly, she has cut herself off from someone who cares about her. Sciencefan |

If she lied (99%), you give her the chance to either refund you or you break up with her. That's it! If you let this one pass, she'll do it again (100%). Show her you are the man and you won't take that shit. I've had a similar experience. |
