It's both. A reason could be that someone tries to fuck you over by trying to destroy your life, the reason of which is unclear, but still a reason.

There's no possible way for you to say that doesn't fit. Are you God? You have no idea what the parents of that child might have learned from that experience. People must know sadness to understand and appreciate joy and life.

Once again, elective human actions are portrayed as forces of nature, with the object of saying that this is 'fate' or 'destiny' and removing responsibility from human action for those with power. Why is there law, if these things are simply the universe acting on itself? Why even be literate, if the law doesn't apply to everyone?
