Da'at Torah is not some Hebrew equivalent to the Catholic doctrine of papal infallibility. Not only can rabbis make mistakes of judgment, there is an entire tractate of the Talmud, Horiut, predicated on the assumption that they can, that even the Sanhedrin is capable of erring, even in halakhic matters. What Da'at Torah means, simply put, is that those most imbued with Torah-knowledge and who have internalized a large degree of the perfection of values and refinement of character that the Torah idealizes are thereby rendered particularly, indeed extraordinarily, qualified to offer an authentic Hebrew perspective on matters of import to Hebrews-just as expert doctors are those most qualified (though still fallible, to be sure) to offer medical advice.

The Lasithi Plateau , sometimes spelt Lassithi Plateau is a high endorheic plateau, located in the Lasithi regional unit in eastern Crete, Greece.

The pull or call towards vision is often subtle and hard to feel. It requires our awareness and daily participation. Many of us have become experts at ignoring it.

I hear people say they heard the call but then it disappeared over time, so I must’ve been mistaken or if it was the call then everything would’ve lined up perfectly and it didn’t. These misconceptions become a trap to keep us from creating movement. Following your inner-vision is seldom easy. It requires effort and daily participation. I assure you that your interaction, your communication with Creation is required at every step along the journey. If Creation did not require us to make effort, all this would happen without our participation.

Inner-vision speaks to us through intuition and feelings. We want to feel strongly that our inner-vision messages are clear and clearly understood. However, when following inner-vision you must be prepared to make many mistakes. We learn when things get messy. If you are not willing to make a misstep, or learn what your vision is not, you will never have clarity. Inner-vision is an act of courage, not comfort. It takes courage to not only accept mistakes and missteps, but to look at them face-to-face to learn from them. When faced with failure will you look within? Will you have the courage to ask the questions you don’t want to ask? Will you choose to trust yourself? If we want to clearly hear this inner voice, we need to silence the other voices that distract. This takes a tremendous amount of awareness of who you are as well as who you are not.

Trust is something we easily develop when the call is strong and clear, but the real test of trust is having it when the call may be faint or foggy. Many people wander away from their vision when the call seems to diminish or simply disappear. The lesson in this is to know that everything is in movement and change. Everything is perishable. To have the courage to trust is even more demanding than to have the courage to make mistakes.

Inner vision right now is highly important within the altering environment.

The deeper sense of self is understanding the tidal movements within. The basic biorhythms of energy and identity connect with everything around. Years ago, I went hiking some place new and didn’t have water on the trails. It started to get really hot and the trails weren’t marked well. After few hours of fun it was time to go but hundreds and hundreds of acres become disoriented without water. Every time I came to a fork an insect buzzed in my face. I could of thought what a normal person thought that it was annoying and pestering me. I didn’t. And knew the tiny insect was showing me the quickest way out. Each fork, never failed buzzing right to the path to take. Paying attention to the smallest of things causes the biggest things to change. That’s spirit and logic example.

Until as recently as 2004, the suggestion that bacteria in the human gut could be a factor in mental health was regarded with suspicion. In that year, Nobuyuki Sudo’s group at Kyushu University, in Japan, reported that the bodies of so-called germ-free mice reacted strongly to stress compared with those of non-germ-free mice (J. Physiol. 2004, DOI: 10.1113/jphysiol.2004.063388). Germ-free mice are lab animals raised in an isolated environment so they have no microorganisms living inside or on them.
While the paper didn’t immediately gain much attention, since then, evidence has slowly been mounting that intestinal microbiota are linked to mood, behavior, and cognition. Among scientists, the report is now viewed as the start of a new field of research: the study of the gut-brain connection.
