The guy I talked to was responsible for the hardwood flooring, it is actually very pretty, can be installed and sanded/finished like a traditional hardwood floor. I think it was 5” wide I’m trying to get samples in my hands to play with and hope to install some this year. I could make a killing with this product and it will be ecologically sound, it’s 20% harder than oak too |

I use all natural water based products from Sweden and I have always hoped for Hempwood someday. I should be able to get about $15 sq ft installed, sanded/ finished with product included, based on my conversations with him. |

Cherry is a good wood too It looks rough, more like particle wood. But it can be finished up nicely or laminated or given a nice stucco. Also, Cherry is wonderful. I love Birch wood, and its fast growing, 15 year tree farms and better forest management. It means not clear cutting AND NOT just replanting fir trees. Forests are diverse so keep them that way.
