Re: loan sharking..the legal way
I took my 3rd cruise last year. This one was totally free.
I use the carnival card for everything. Took me 3 years, paid for the entire cruise , shuttle, airplane tickets, and some stateroom deliveries.
when I got back, I redeemed the points from my purchases on the cruise for 90 days after, and it paid on some excursions and bar tabs that were eligible.
Now I start over accumulating the points.
I’m guaranteed a cruise every 3 years with this method, and I’ve paid zero interest.
If you spend more then I do, you’ll get your free cruise sooner.
Zero annual fee

This is doing it right. But I am sure you are religious about paying the balance in full every month.

You must be the prey of loan sharks, who's charge usurious interest, in order to obtain your necessary credit (i.e. compliance) score with their schemes to bankrupt you and steal your wealth and that of your children's children.

No credit score? No insurance, no job, no utilities, no home, etc. Or at least you're going to pay through the nose simply because you don't play the banker's game of eternal bankruptcy.

Oh for sure. It’s basically my bank card in my mind, if I can’t pay it I don’t buy it. I pay them every week or two because the balance gets high really fast. I also like the protection from fraud and not giving random merchants or restaurants access to the real bank account.

You can get a very high FICO score without carrying a balance. It might be slightly higher if you do carry a balance, because then you become an even more desirable customer (who will bleed money to them.) But with total self discipline you can still get over 700 with no assets, close to 800 if you have enough assets.

This was brilliant. My wife and I made our son watch it. Of course, his reply was, "duh".

I fucking hate how you drama queens always exaggerate and embellish issues.

Lots of us have a credit card or a mortgage. It's not necessarily eternal bankruptcy. My mortgage is 4% and will be paid off in five years.

This is not a "scheme to bankrupt you and steal your wealth and that of your children's children."

Sure, people get into trouble with debt, and the banks can be relentless, but there is a careful and responsible way to use the credit system.
