It is relevant, the democratic party has been segregating classes of people from the start, and have never stopped. Based on that segregation, they see people thru a social hierarchy and allow, look the other way or simple legislat thier current flavor tyranny against certain classes.

The modern example today is based on intersectionality and attaching group blame and guilt and attempting to extract group payment/fines as a result. This is just a newer and more sophisticated form of racism. If you don't see it, you will, when it comes around and hits you.

The South was solid Democrat until the 70's and it was the Democrat Party's embrace of the anti-war Viet Nam War hippie counter-culture that flipped the southern states to Republican. Why would a bunch of southern racist segregationists flip parties and join the GOP that had just spent the previous century freeing blacks and working for civil rights?

Since the eighties, the vast majority of middle and high school teachers are Democrats and filled the students' heads with historical apologism for the Democrats. But worse, the vast majority of history teachers,at the university level were out and out extreme leftists and openly Marxist.

The women are making appointments to have their unborn children aborted and the DemoKKKrat Party has argued it into a woman's choice and a health care option. Better PR than wearing their pointy white hats and lynching the occassional black person.

In addition, they have effectively kept most of them dependent on handouts in urban areas and broken homes where the major influence is violent gangs whose lifestyles are mass marketed to them from Big Hollywood and the Entertainment Industrial Complex. The only way out is fame in sports or music.

DemoKKKrats largely run the cities they reside in and while DemoKKKrat politicians get cushy jobs for all their family & friends, kickbacks, donations and future considerations from the businesses downtown while the schools are run down danger zones that produce lots of dropouts and disruptive learning environments where nobody wants to teach.

Imagine if the money from all those businesses went to build better schools and provide business management programs in the inner city schools. Hell, white suburbanites who work downtown might even enroll little Becky and Bobby. Surely all those businesses downtown can provide more tax revenue than the affluent suburbs with maybe a few dying strip malls? Where are the nice local parks and community centers in these neighborhoods?

I was also pointing out that ironically the decedents of those southern white men vote overwhelmingly for trump. I did not mention anything about political parties.

Most of the people who were adults and really invested one way or the other over Civil Rights in the 1960s are retired or passed.

It's 55 years later. Lots of things have changed. DemoKKKrats went from being openly racist Klan members to embracing the hippie era and basically every form of degeneracy since.

People in the South have pretty much moved on. Majority of them probably have better race relations than most in the 'North' since many areas are probably better integrated (but that's probably not saying much about the rest of the country).

TBH I relate to southerners better than I do to people in most parts of the country. I'm from the Midwest so there is a bit of hunting/fishing/farming tradition in my background (not that I do a great deal of it recently). I can relate to a lot of southern culture, though.
