Christianity and Buddhism
It has been said that a Buddhist can be Christian, but a Christian can not be Buddhist.

I guess the notion is that Buddhist believer can bow to Jesus, and also to Buddha, whereas the Christian can only bow to Jesus Christ.

Re: Christianity and Buddhism
Buddha, Jesus, Ramakrishna, Padre Pio, Meher Baba, Kabir, Guru Nanak, Saint Francis were locked in a MMA UFC Octagon cage and told they must fight or die.
After being ushered into the cage by armed guards and locked in the contestants exchanged pleasantries with each other and went to their respective place in the octagon.

The crowd was wild with excitement at the prospect of these holy men tearing into each other. When the referee signaled to commence the battle the contestants nodded and smiled at each other and assumed the posture they were most comfortable with, some sat cross legged in the lotus position, others fell to their knees while one stood with arms outstretched at their side and the other positioned himself prostrate in supplication.

The contestants remained where they were in silence as the crowd called for blood. Slowly a glow was seen to engulf the cage and grew exponentially brighter until a golden radiance filled the space they were in and with it came the sound of the most majestic and all encompassing thunderclap followed by a dazzling flash of pure clear light.

The lighting in the auditorium immediately went dark and the bloodthirsty crowd screamed profanities in various languages unable to hold their rage at the seeming technical mishap. Once the electric circuit breakers were reset and the high intensity lamps re-illuminated the octagon a collective gasp arose from the audience. The octagon was empty with the exception of the center where sixteen sandals were arranged heel to toe in the shape of an ascending spiral.
