I just watched the trailer and it was like watching Forrest Gump in his later years. I hated the Mr. Rogers show when I was a kid but it wasn’t the man I didn’t like. It was the visual cold of the set, the welfare Christmas reject gift props and the obviouse impermanence of it all. Maybe it was too much like real life, the sweetness aside.....there was something abysmal about it all.

I liked Captain Kangaroo, though. When Mr. Green Jeans made an appearance, that was my favorite part. Especially when he’d have a pony or some other farm animal. To this day the color of his outfit is still my favorite color.
