Hello dear Readers: I am pinning this thread today for discussion. Please let me know what you think of all these proposals to improve our world. Love Colour Crusader

I note that many threads on GLP deal with investigation into various topics in order to expose the truth, and sadly this is very much needed at this time. I also note that there are threads which purely serve as "entertainment", and though humor is essential, several of these fall into areas which do not uplift the world into something better. They do not serve as inspiration or their participants as role models. In the face of widespread corruption, abuse, disinformation and deliberate violence and ugliness, what proposals can we make? This is an invitation to complete the sentence with all seriousness, keeping the fate of all humanity in view. For example:


The world will become peaceful, beautiful and abundant

IF WE CONSTANTLY REMEMBER THE GOLDEN RULE THAT WE REAP WHAT WE SOW.

This means that everything around us - whether large or small, beautiful or ugly, violent or otherwise, HAS SOMETHING TO DO WITH OURSELVES. Our behaviour is the seed, and what we see around us are the fruits. The tendency to turn away and say THAT HAS NOTHING WHATSOEVER TO DO WITH ME is erroneous. Such an attitude in itself is a violent act in that we are disassociating ourselves from our fellow human beings and leaving them to their "fate", when actually our every thought and action - which are immeasurably powerful - are able to make a difference.

Bumping this as I have been away, but I am have now returned from my travels ...

This continues to be an extremely important topic, getting more poignant every day as we awake more fully to the realization that we collectively have been oppressing, abusing and enslaving ourselves and others on a massive scale.

It is time to realize this and to think outside the box - to take a very hard look at the structures in place (social, financial, religious etc) and to consider WHAT WE WOULD PUT IN PLACE IDEALLY so that everyone could live under harmonious conditions.

These are my thoughts this morning as I sit here and consider that we are on the brink of great change, or, to pinpoint it more finely, on the brink of complete collapse, after which we will again be presented with the question: WHAT WILL MAKE OUR WORLD PEACEFUL, BEAUTIFUL AND ABUNDANT, because those who remain will be entrusted with precisely this task. If everyone went back to their own countries things would be fine. The truth of the matter is people rather be around people that are like themselves. When you mix it all together you just get a mess.

Yes, to erradicate government would work if everyone was their own governemnt, taking responsibility for everyone.
