Thank you for the further explanation, Surethingbuddy. It sounds as if it may be beneficial for you to ask this person directly if they are projecting their own ideas or desires onto you. You feel uncomfortable because these are not your own desires.

If it is crystal clear what your own desires are, and if you are completely centred and grounded in what you consider to be important, then this can be communicated to the other person successfully, I imagine.

If the person does not listen, there is nothing you can do but gently go your own way and try and explain why that is. Having said all that, only YOU know what is going on here, and YOUR GUT FEELING will be right.

One exercise that you or anyone can do is to close your eyes in meditative silence and visualize a figure eight on the ground in front of you. See yourself walk into one of the circles, and see the person you are having issues with walk into the opposite circle. Then see what happens. Do no go into the other person's circle, and do not allow the other person to enter your circle. Visuals may occur which can further help you to resolve the situation.
