This is a good question, dear AC, thank you.
Personally, I have never used drugs, never even "tried". My experience is that feelings of expanded consciousness, including the receiving of many visions and colorful kaleidoscope vistas in my "mental landscape", have been entirely due to my own effort, as it were. What effort is this? It is the recognition of a force greater than oneself, it is the decision to try and connect with this higher wisdom daily, with a view to being connected every moment in the future. It is a willingness to look at all hindrances which cloud our minds - the unsolved past issues which restrict our forward movement. It is a willingness to clear the mind in able to receive. Most importantly, it is the development of TRUST that what we see or feel in such times of meditation is REAL and MEANT ESPECIALLY FOR US. Great confidence is also gained from the fact that one is doing this ENTIRELY BY ONESELF, requiring no drugs or gurus.

I have heard of many who use drugs for the expansion of consciousness and "other worldly" experiences, and of course many insights and creative activities can result from that.

For me, drugs are a crutch. It is easy - without any effort at all, actually, to resort to this. This is why I conclude that drugs actually LIMIT THE SPIRITUAL EXPERIENCE, which can be continuous and autonomous.

I like your words "locked into our everyday version of reality". It is our responsibility to see EVERYTHING as an opportunity to grow and to learn and to teach and to improve. If one holds this thought in one's head throughout the "mundane" day, the mundane day will turn into an adventure. It means then that we are always on the lookout, never lose a chance to assist or comfort someone, never missing the little (divine) signs which are placed into our path in order to support our growth.

Such a "divine sign" are YOU YOURSELF, AC, for me, as you are pointing out a subject which has not yet been covered here (if I remember correctly), and which is important in view of widespread drug use. And so:

IF ... we all place the needs of the 'Greater Good' above the needs of our individual selves. I see a lot of good people doing good things where I live but I also notice that they are pushed aside and overlooked by official groups and organisations who actually hold the power to make changes. These organisations seem to be stuffed full of 'vested interests' (political too) which has the effect of stifling innovation and creativity.

It made me smile when I saw that this answer was post 666 (the number of man and his place in the world, concentrated). Another Divine Sign :)

I would say, dear AC, that knowing what is possible may open up new vistas, but that this - ultimately - is also limiting. Knowing that the IMPOSSIBLE is possible, opens up the perspectives even further ...and add eternity to the equation, LOL!

So true, dear AC: yet we are actually all individuals and all have immense power to create. This is not taught. It is thought that if one joins a group, one is more powerful. In our present world, this is so, because people generally do not live or recognize their own sovereignty (they tend to be intimidated, tend to want to follow, tend not to want to take over responsibility, and so they find refuge in a group).

But I hear you about what you are saying about groups. They can develop a lobby and get into the public eye. The question is: do they have good motivations, or do they wish to develop power and to make the group into an exclusive club (all sorts of organizations and religions and political groups come into this category). It is no longer a case of people of like mind getting together, or to uphold justice for a minority, for example: it has turned into militancy, ensuring that different groups will inevitably come into conflict. Thus, divide and fall occurs.

If we could show someone from the 19th century how a mobile phone works, they would certainly consider this to be something "impossible" which has nevertheless manifested. The 19th century person would simply not be able to grasp it because there are so many stages of development in-between to which they are not party. There is no logical sequence or path of understanding which they can follow. There are glaring gaps. So this would seem, on the surface of things, that technology makes the impossible possible.

However, technology only develops in accordance with the development of mind. The internet and related technologies have ben GIFTED to us from off-planet sources/connections in order to usher in this new age of peace. It means that we have new and fantastic communication with all parts of the globe: it means we can share masses of information. It means we can cooperate on a grand scale. The crux of the mater is: IS THIS TECHNOLOGY BEING USED FOR SOMETHING POSITIVE or SOMETHING NEGATIVE? Around a third of the net is used for pornography etc. While the means of join us us together has been provided, it is our choice whether to apply it or use it for nefarious means. Once the SPIRITUAL LEVEL of humanity is on average higher, we will be allowed EVEN MORE technology to help with everyday situations and which will greatly relieve all toil.

When we have reached the level where no one kills anyone else, then we will be granted technology which can pulversise waste into nothing. As long as we are on the level of killing,mwe would use such technology to kill. Therefore, it is kept from us. Perhaps at this point someone will say BUT WHAT ABOUT NUCLEAR WEAPONS: these are carefully surveyed by off-planet observers and deactivated if necessary. There is a greater plan at work here than meets the eye.

The soul progresses endlessly, irrespective of what "body" it is presently wearing, and where it is presently incarnated. Well, the world does not appear to be very peaceful at the moment if we focus on the Middle East, yet it seems there are many layers to this which make it all the more complex, and which are seemingly part of a process moving towards peace.

OP, what's your thoughts on a 'zero carbon economy'? Lots of people seem to think it's the answer to many of our woes. Will this make the world peaceful, beautiful and abundant?

First of all, when I hear the phrase "zero carbon economy" I sense that this is a campaign slogan which is being promoted - I have not investigated much into how widely spread this is in use on the net and in the media though. Sounds like zero carbon emissions, etc, and woe betide anyone who does not toe the line (involving taxes coming as a result).

But turning our attention to the question of energy. First on my mind is the thoughtless ravaging of earth's resources by billions of people over a long period. This has to stop. Petrol is not necessary for transportation. 40 years ago I knew from a friend of a friend that it was possible to run a car on water. Many technologies are already developed but reserved for the military. In addition to this, new technologies have been suppressed (notably those of Nikola Tesla) which would revolutionize the energy issue immediately if applied. Cars can be run with a dynamo application - running on their own energy, so to speak. New technology will also be available to us IF WE IMPROVE OUR SPIRITUAL LEVEL, but that seems to be going "DOWNHILL" at the moment - a sign of the "end times". Some technology has been allowed to Russia - they have a method of reusing nuclear waste, for example, to create more energy.

I am not a scientist, but suffice to say that once we are out of this present "period of darkness" and suppression, there will be so many more methods of approaching the energy problem. And I suspect it will not involve more of those huge concrete windmills, or batteries which involve exploitation of earth's resources, extensive mining and difficult to dispose of.

I am placing here the prophesy of Peter Deunov which was posted in another thread on glp. Thanks to the poster for reminding me of this. This is what is coming - or we are in the process of it - and this is why we must RETHINK EVERYTHING, in order to CREATE THE NEW ERA OF PEACE. And this is also WHY I STARTED THIS THREAD. The New Era is that of the sixth race. Your predestination is to prepare yourself for it, to welcome it and to live it. The sixth race will build itself around the idea of Fraternity. There will be no more conflicts of personal interests; the single aspiration of each one will be to conform himself to the Law of Love. The sixth race will be that of Love. A new continent will be formed for it. It will emerge from the Pacific, so that the Most High can finally establish His place on this planet.

The founders of this new civilization, I call them "Brothers of Humanity" or also "Children of Love" They will be unshakeable for the good and they will represent a new type of men. Men will form a family, as a large body, and each people will represent an organ in this body. In the new race, Love will manifest in such a perfect manner, that today's man can only have a very vague idea.

The words "If you are not born again." apply to the sixth race. Read Chapter 60 of Isaiah it relates to the coming of the sixth race the Race of Love.

After the Tribulations, men will cease to sin and will find again the path of virtue. The climate of our planet will be moderated everywhere and brutal variations will no longer exist. The air will once again become pure, the same for water. The parasites will disappear. Men will remember their previous incarnations and they will feel the pleasure of noticing that they are finally liberated from their previous condition.

In the same manner that one gets rid of the parasites and dead leaves on the vine, so act the evolved Beings to prepare men to serve the God of Love. The liberation can no longer be postponed. Humanity must prepare itself for great trials that are inescapable and are coming to bring an end to egoism.

Dragon: we need to look beyond this. Just because something has been happening for a long time, does that mean it is VALID? We have been brainwashed FOR MILLENNIA, and disrespect for all life is part of it. Disrespect for all life is FUELLED CONSTANTLY in all sorts of horrific ways. No good dismissing it all by saying that these unborn babies are unplanned and unwanted either. The question is WHY ARE THEY UNWANTED AND UNPLANNED? Because - and this is part of the brainwashing - there are very few highly principled people left any more. Those wth high moral standards are ridiculed and attacked. Ideal, EVERY CHILD SHOULD BE INVITED BY THE PROPSECTIVE PARENTS TO ENTER THEIR LIVES, BEFORE INTERCOURSE TAKES PLACE. The child needs to be DEEPLY LOVED BEFORE INTERCOURSE TAKES PLACE. And it needs to be continuously loved FROM THAT POINT ON. Thus will a new generation of LOVED CHILDREN arise, who would never ever consider a "one night stand", because they in turn would be aware of their responsibilities.

The idea that someone cannot sing is erroneous. We all have an instrument called A VOICE, and like wth so many other endowments and situations, the question is "do we make use of it?". Many children, who have been told in childhood or at school that they have a "terrible voice", are convinced for the rest of their lives that this avenue is closed to them. Yet it is always open.

Singing, like dancing and being creative in an expressive way, is not only a joy but a great teacher. To sing in a choir is peace in motion, since all adjust to form ONE BEAUTIFUL SOUND, just as all people on earth could adjust to form ONE PEACEFUL WORLD. In such group efforts, as in orchestras also, excessive egotism has no place. One holds back or changes for the sake of the whole. One learns to support each other, perform together and celebrate together. May the whole world become a choir.

IF WE TRAVEL IN A STRAIGHT LINE TOWARDS WORTHY GOALS

I have permission to post this text in its entirety: I find it extremely relevant to our present situation:

TRAVELLING IN A STRAIGHT LINE

At this time of chaos, confusion, corruption, devastation and – most of all – twists and turns which leave you exhausted and breathless as you try to keep up with events – WE ASK YOU THE ULTIMATE QUESTION:

Beloveds, ARE YOU TRAVELLING IN A STRIGHT LINE? For some people, this is, by now, an irrelevant question, BECAUSE THEY DO NOT KNOW THAT THEY ARE TRAVELLING AT ALL. These are the so-called “hopeless cases”. (Yet in another place and circumstance, hope will be revived).

What is meant by “travelling”? It concerns moving from A to B, not in a physical way, but on a learning scale. In order to learn, the prerequisite is an eager, open and curious mind, coupled with a READINESS TO DISCARD THAT WHICH IS OLD, SO THAT ONE CAN MOVE ON TO WHAT IS NEW.

The majority of people on your planet are unfamiliar with this concept. They think they can STAY IN ONE PLACE AND NOT MOVE AT ALL. Thus, no soul growth is achieved. Thus are they completely paralysed, hindering the paths of others, for all others are slowed down by this, reflected in the saying WHERE WE GO ONE WE GO ALL. A group (as we have said before) always moves at the pace of the slowest in the group – a principle practiced by conscientious mountain climbers who are in charge of a group. As on a physical level, so on the mental level: BACKWARD THOUGHTS, SUPERSTITIONS, AND ANY OPPOSITION TO THE LAW OF ONE, will and does hamper spiritual progress on earth.

If this continues, destruction OF ALL will be the result. Thus, separation is required: there is a steadily increasing group of blockers, and there is a steadily increasing group of facilitators, because more and more people are being forced to “get off the fence”. In the end, everyone will be in one of these two groups.

So, are you travelling at all, and if so, are you travelling in a straight line, in accordance with the laws of creation, doing the good to others which you wish to receive yourselves? Or is your path WINDING ERRONEOUSLY IN THE WRONG DIRECTION. That is to say: do you deviate, do you dawdle, are you distracted, are you easily misled, are you lazy, are you overwhelmed or dispirited? Are you accelerating demise or promoting glory?

You may think that we are overdoing this, but consider that if you are in a ship, and if you set a course to your destination, you will never arrive if you are but one degree “off course”.

The question ARE YOU TRAVELLING IN A STRAIGHT LINE could be formulated differently. We could have said ARE YOU TRAVELLING AS LIGHT DOES, as this has exactly the same meaning. On planets which are more spiritually advanced than ours (AND MOST ARE!), the greatest honour is to be awarded a position as a "public servant". Only those who have great integrity and humility are chosen for this service. These are the most respected officials.

On earth at the present time, many people do work in the field of public service. Some do so out of complete conviction, others less so. As is still the case, money dominates most decisions, what ever area we are talking about.

Ideally, everyone should reflect how they can contribute to their community, whether this is officially part of their "normal job" or not. Selfishness will eventually be replaced by altruism.

We all have the power of 'god' inside of us. This is the ultimate power of being a human being. We ourselves dilute this power when we gaze outside of ourselves and try to fix 'out there' (the world). To unlock this power we must seek the wisdom within. For it is inside ourselves where all the answers we seek reside. Ask and you shall receive. The answers (signs) will always be there. Understand that you are awareness and be aware of this awareness. Understand that you are not your mind, your mind is a tool for you to use (your only tool). And at all times behave in a virtuous manner.

The realization of our godly power is one of the major realizations which can turn everything we thought before UPSIDEDOWN (and this immediately gives me a good question for my QUESTION THREAD: What major realization in your life TURNED EVERYTHING AROUND?)

Realisation number 1: that we are "godly", and that we can converse/go within, to consult this divine advisor.

Realisation number 2: everything which "happens" to us is CREATED BY US. When one realizes the truth of this, one goes through one's WHOLE LIFE again, pinpointing all the times when one felt hurt or abused or neglected, and one is forced to see that in some way, one carries part of the responsibility oneself.

That is a very difficult pill to swallow for those who wish to remain in the role of persecuted victim. But without this realization, one will not be able to access ones own power, and one will automatically remain in the position of victim.

IF WE REALISE THAT OUTER VIRUSES ARE A MIRROR OF INNER VIRUSES

At this time of great speculation as to how and why the so-called corona virus is spreading so rapidly, it is necessary to contemplate WHAT A VIRUS MIRRORS ON ON THE INNER MENTAL PLANE.

What are the qualities of a virus? It is completely selfish; it moves from one host to another, using all opportunities to spread, without letting others exercise any choice, turning them all into “victims”, ruthlessly trying to destroy whatever it encounters, and in such cases it can only be eradicated through great effort.

It does not affect those who have a good IMMUNE SYSTEM, those who are STRONG AND INDEPENDENT, those who are ALWAYS ALERT TO POSSIBLE DANGER and who TAKE PRECAUTIONS and DETERMINE THEIR OWN DESTINY.

Propaganda which serves a destructive agenda is fashioned to travel like a virus. This can be information which distracts, entertains, evokes fear or strong emotions of happiness which the “host” wishes to experience again and again to keep up the “high” or the constant “thrill”, even if it means self-destruction.

Through this, THINKING MODE IS DEACTIVATED, and we slip into automatic, into dependence, into addictions and – because all this is completely occupying our full attention – we fall into complete ignorance, including ignorance of the danger which ignorance entails.

Reactivation of THINKING and GROWING OUR MINDS is the answer to raising our mental and spiritual health. If the level of spirituality is raised on this planet, physical health will grow in accordance.

With a high level of spirituality, everything would be COMPLETELY TRANSPARENT. Thus, there would be no need to do detailed research, or to try and weed out the truth, BECAUSE EVERYONE WOULD ONLY BE TOO HAPPY TO DISTRIBUTE CORRECT, HONEST AND INFORMATIVE DETAILS WHICH SERVE HUMANITY AS A WHOLE.
